Explanations
▪ LI-2, the Spring point of the Large Intestine channel, clears and dispels External Heat and sedates toothache.
▪ LI-4 and LI-5, the Source point and the River point of the Large Intestine channel, are able to dispel the Wind, clear the Heat and relieve the tooth pain. LI-4 is especially used to treat External invasion in the upper body. Moreover, this point is effective for relieving the tooth pain due to Excessive factors.
▪ LU-7, the Connecting point of the Lung channel, dispels the Wind and relieves the External symptoms as well as stopping the toothache. When this point is prescribed together with LI-4, it increases its effect of promoting the opening of the skin pores so as to relieve the External invasion. Also, LU-7 is another good point for treating facial and tooth problems.
▪ ST-6 and ST-7 are the local points, and can relieve External invasion and promote the Qi circulation so as to sedate the toothache.
▪ TE-5, the Connecting point of the Triple Burner channel, and the Confluence point with the Yang Linking Vessel, is able to disperse the External Wind-Heat invasion and relieve the toothache.
