BRONZE
The BRONZE area is the area of immediate hazard and casualty rescue
The boundary of the BRONZE area is the INNER CORDON
Each service may designate a BRONZE COMMANDER
There can be more than one BRONZE area (and set of bronze commanders) within an incidentSILVER
The SILVER area is the entire scene
The boundary of the SILVER area is the OUTER CORDON
Each service will provide a SILVER COMMANDER
There is only one SILVER area for an incident (exception is an incident over a wide area, for example an earthquake, with multiple “major incidents”)GOLD
GOLD represents the highest level of command for the incident
GOLD is remote from the scene
GOLD may be identified by a local authority, regional, county, state or national boundarytiers of command

precedence at the scene
SCENE CONTROL
Each service at the scene will have a COMMANDER, who is responsible for all single service assets
One service will have overall responsibility, or scene CONTROL
